Medical Assistant II - Eastgate OBGYN - Full Time Days

Join us at The Christ Hospital Health Network to support patient care as a Medical Assistant II in our Eastgate obstetrics and gynecology clinic.

• Assist in patient examinations and treatments under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow during clinic hours, perform vitals, record past and current medical, social, and family history.
• Document all patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Prepare patient charts by scanning, abstracting, and reviewing diagnostic results and other medical records.
• Refill and pre‑authorize medications and manage medication samples and dates.
• Prepare examination rooms, order medical supplies, and maintain a clean, fully supplied environment.
• Manage calls, schedule appointments, check‑in/out patients, and complete pre‑certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries.
• Operate EKG, cardiac monitors, and other equipment; perform routine diagnostic tests such as phlebotomy, cast removal, etc.
• Follow and enforce safety standards, maintain confidentiality of patient information, and support quality patient experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree and/or certified/registered medical assistant preferred.
• Graduate from a medical assistant program; 2 to 5 years of medical assistant experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, EMR, scheduling systems).
• Strong verbal and social skills; ability to work respectfully with patients, physicians, visitors, co‑workers, and drug representatives.
• Travel to other physician offices as requested or needed.
• Complementary clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKG, stitches removal, splinting, cast removal preferred.
• BLS certification required; certified/registered MA preferred.
