Medical Professional, LPN

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is looking for a Medical Professional, LPN to evaluate and monitor plasma donors in our donation centers.

Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility for plasmapheresis and immunization procedures using SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Review informed consent forms, explain procedures, potential adverse events, immunization schedules, antibody formation, and dosage, ensuring donors can refuse participation.
  • Perform medical history reviews and health assessments for donors.
  • Review donor management system and immunization paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Confirm eligibility and consult with licensed physician when needed.
  • Classify donors to appropriate programs.
  • Monitor donor reactions, document outcomes, and perform duties for Hyperimmune Program as described in SOPs.
  • Review all test results in the donor management system (Nexlynk) to assess continued eligibility.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee, donor, and center records.
  • Counsel donors with abnormal results or eligibility concerns and defer them according to the donor deferral matrix; refer to health departments when applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Graduate of a recognized healthcare‑related program (e.g., licensed practical nurse or registered nurse).
  • Certified/licensed as an EMT Basic, EMT‑Intermediate, or EMT‑Advanced/Paramedic if required.
  • Work within the scope of the professional license or certification defined by the state.
  • One year of experience in a hospital, field care, or plasma center preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Maintain current and valid license and pass medical credential evaluation.
  • Successfully complete training program and competency assessments using OPI‑approved modules or curriculum.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.
