Outpatient Phlebotomist

In this role, you’ll collect quality specimens from patients of all ages, support diagnostic testing, and serve as a vital liaison between the laboratory and our customers. You’ll also assist with order entry, compliance documentation, and ensure smooth specimen processing. Good Samaritan Hospital at 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220

• Full-time, 80 hours biweekly
• Day shift from 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Weekend and holidays rotation (4:00 AM - 12:30 PM)

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 1 - 2 years of experience in Phlebotomy (Preferred)
• Phlebotomy Trained Upon Hire (Preferred)

• Ensure specimen integrity by obtaining patient identification, accurate data, collection and specimen collection
• Document all information as required in expected time frames
• Understand the importance of accuracy in all steps of the collection process and complete all work accurately and timely
• Takes on complex tasks when asked and takes initiative to take on tasks when needed
• Complete work following processes and protocols for safety, confidentiality, and sample integrity
