Scarlet Oaks is seeking a hands‑on Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor to lead the housekeeping and laundry team while also performing daily cleaning tasks. This role ensures resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces are maintained in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition in line with infection control standards.

• Maintain resident rooms, offices, hallways, stairways, elevators, and public areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.

• Sweep, vacuum, dust, disinfect, deodorize, and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and HVAC units.

• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and ceilings by washing, wiping, and spot cleaning as needed.

• Supervise, schedule, and support housekeeping and laundry staff; provide direction, training, and performance feedback.

• Ensure new and incoming resident rooms are cleaned, checked, and move‑in ready; coordinate with admissions as needed.

• Empty trash and keep janitor closets and supply rooms clean, safe, and organized.

• Assist with laundry operations, including linens, towels, and resident personal laundry; follow all soiled/clean laundry protocols.

• Maintain proper inventory of chemicals, supplies, and linens; ensure all chemical closets are locked and compliant with safety policies.

• Log required water and heat temperatures and follow all infection control and universal precautions.

• Submit maintenance work orders and promptly report unsafe or hazardous conditions or needed repairs.

• Perform exterior cleaning (windows, patios, outside areas) as assigned.

• Complete other housekeeping and laundry duties as directed by the Administrator.

• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions necessary to perform all job duties.

• Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience; supervisory or lead experience highly preferred, especially in healthcare or senior living.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Genuine passion for working with the elderly and providing excellent customer service.

• Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, and visitors.

• Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive under stressful conditions.

• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, push/pull, stand, walk, squat/kneel, see, and speak throughout the shift.
