Position: Life Enr. Associate, MKV

Maple Knoll Village, a continuing care retirement community located in Cincinnati, OH is currently seeking a creative, compassionate, and energeticLife Enrichment Associate to join our team and help enhance the daily experiences of our residents. We are seeking candidates for both fulltime (5 days per week) and part-time positions (3 days per week). The hours for this position are 10a-6p, the ideal candidate must have some flexibility to work varied hours, some evenings, weekends (every other), and holidays.

The pay range for this position is $15.50- $18.25.

As a Life Enrichment Associate, you will be responsible for planning and leading engaging programs and activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, physical well-being, and overall quality of life for our residents. You will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure that residents remain active, involved, and connected.

As a Life Enrichment Associate you will:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing a diverse calendar of events, including recreational, educational, cultural, and spiritual activities.
  • Encourage resident participation and tailor activities to meet their individual interests and needs, including both group and one to one program
  • Foster a positive, engaging environment that promotes social interaction and emotional wellness.
  • Assist with outings, special events, and holiday celebrations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident leisure and participation.
  • Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to support individualized care plans.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or senior living environment is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • A warm, enthusiastic, and empathetic approach to engaging with older adults
  • Work well both independently and as a team (group activities, creating monthly calendar, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

MEPAP
-part one

Associate degree or background in one or more of the following:

Art or Creative Arts

Therapeutic recreation

Social Work

Psychology or Sociology

Gerontology

Nursing (STNA or CNA certificate is also a plus)
