Job Responsibilities- Coordinate and assist with patient care and flow of patients and families; monitor patient cycle times to ensure timeliness of visits and room turnover; proactively identify problems and develop solutions; assist co‑workers after completing own duties; may function as a departmental liaison or resource.
- Assist care providers with procedures and physical exams; prepare patients for examination and treatment.
- Provide technical expertise and clinical services; flex daily needs based on policy, best practice guidelines and department needs.
- Support customer advocacy; respond quickly to family requests and concerns; provide education/information to patients and/or families.
- Collaborate on departmental processes, projects and policies; model and promote a positive professional work environment.
- Manage data and records per department policy; obtain consent and release of information when indicated; maintain accurate documentation.
- Manage laboratory specimens per protocols; retrieve test results; communicate normal lab results as appropriately delegated.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of medical assistant experience.
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (AMT), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA).
