Position Summary

Lead Pharmacy Technician – Back End, Omnicare, CVS Health®. The Lead Pharmacy Technician will lead the back‑end pharmacy technician team to deliver best customer support to long‑term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers.

Day In The Life

As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will work to lead and support the back‑end pharmacy technician team by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist. The back‑end team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations.

  • Leading and assisting Pre‑Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives.
  • Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance.
  • Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed.
  • Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws.

Required Qualifications
  • Certified, licensed, or registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law.
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in the long‑term care industry.
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
  • PTCB National Certification.
  • Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range: $18.50 - $35.29 per hour. The full‑time position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources based on eligibility.
