What you’ll do at DBH
  • Provide psychological services including groups, psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and psychosocial rehabilitation
  • Perform assessments, including risk assessments and risk management planning for justice-involved population
  • Administer, score, interpret, and report results of psychological tests
  • Provide forensic assessments per court order, testify to your expert opinion as requested
  • Liaison to the treatment team
  • Develop treatment plans and ensure relevance to psychology services
  • Develop and implement programs
  • Attend meetings and serve on committees/work groups

Psychologists will work in clinical and forensic psychology in regional psychiatric hospitals, providing trauma-focused and patient-centered care, forensic evaluations, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Training and mentorship are offered for forensic subspecialty skills as needed. Strong clinical skills and the ability to conduct cognitive, personality, and risk assessments are essential.

Psychologists contribute to hospital initiatives and coordinate patient care with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other team members.

Position Details

This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit, with a pay range of 15 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. Shift availability includes day, afternoon, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Summit Behavioral Healthcare Campus, 1101 Summit Road, Cincinnati, OH 45237.

Salary/Benefits:
Starting pay may be Step 1 with potential increases after six months and annually thereafter. Additional pay information includes a 3% pay increase on July 1, 2026 and longevity after 5 years of service.

Qualifications

License to practice psychology as issued by the Ohio State Board of Psychology per ORC sections 4732.12 or 4732.15 (A).
