UC Health is hiring a full‑time Certified Medical Technologist II for the core lab department for second shift at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory analyses, problem solving, and maintaining equipment.

• Associate degree in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology (preferred).
• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent.
• Laboratory experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of specimen requirements, laboratory terminology, assay schedules, and turnaround times.
• Ability to read and comprehend written information.
• Ability to perform a variety of job duties in a fast‑paced environment.
• Keyboarding skills (preferred).

• Perform routine and complex laboratory analyses.
• Identify and correct problems, develop alternatives when necessary.
• Apply independent judgment and interpretation in testing.
• Maintain instrumentation, perform preventive maintenance, and calibrations.
• Record and evaluate quality control procedures, and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in training new associates and students.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
