Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Volunteer Services Manager, this position is responsible for the daily coordination of the workflow of the volunteer services department. This includes managing all database programs to track and calculate volunteer census, hours, and assignments and generating monthly, quarterly and annual reports according to Hospice Medicare regulations and JCAHO. The role schedules all Blue Ash IPU direct care, front desk and clerical volunteers and coordinates volunteer projects for other HOC departments such as bereavement, marketing, education, corporate administration and the Foundation.
The individual acts as a resource person to all personnel in the department.
Job Requirements:
- High School Degree
- Knowledge of volunteer programs and hospice philosophy
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Up to 1 year experience in a related field
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily volunteer workflow and scheduling.
- Maintain and update database systems.
- Generate required reports for Medicare and JCAHO.
- Collaborate with other departments for volunteer projects.
- Serve as a resource for volunteer staff and department personnel.
