Mammography Technologist (Full-time) – Good Samaritan Hospital – $18,000 Sign on Bonus

In this role, you’ll perform high‑quality screening and diagnostic mammography, guided procedures, specimen imaging, and bone density scans, providing clarity, comfort, and confidence during some of our patients’ most vulnerable moments.
Job OverviewUnder the direction of the Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, the mammography technologist performs imaging to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. The technologist performs screening and diagnostic imaging, mammography guided procedures, specimen imaging, and bone density scanning in accordance with the American College of Radiology’s appropriateness criteria or by protocols developed and agreed upon by physician leadership, maintaining annual competencies.
The position is responsible for performing quality procedures, maintaining accurate records, documenting in the EMR, working cooperatively with interdepartmental team members, quality assurance/quality control, infection prevention, student education, equipment operation, and other duties as assigned. Strong verbal and organizational skills are required, and the position may require travel to additional locations. Mammography certification is required within 12 months of employment.
The position requires compliance with state educational requirements, ARRT and ODH licensure, and adherence to ASRT practice standards.
- Provides for patient, family, and staff comfort and care prior to, during, and after a procedure.
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergent situations.
- Maintains accurate records through the completion of all paperwork.
- Work is completed before submitting it.
- Consistently produces and evaluates screening and diagnostic mammography for radiological interpretation.
- Demonstrates organizational and communication skills to promote the well‑being of the department.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members.
- Demonstrates competency through ongoing CBE’s.
- Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its operating procedures through CBE’s.
- Selects proper imaging protocols and follows departmental procedures.
- Associate’s Degree in Allied Health (Required)
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Meet the minimum continuing educational requirements established by the state of Ohio and maintain ARRT and ODH licensure.
- Mammography certification required within 12 months of employment.
