Work Schedule
  • Full‑Time (40 hours weekly)
  • Rotates weekends and holidays

Job Overview

Evaluates patients, plans for and provides therapeutic interventions in a transdisciplinary/team approach. Responsible for communication and coordination of treatment programs with other team members including the patient/family. Directly supervises assistants, interns and other support personnel. Participates in program developments, continuous improvement, clinical education, and provides in‑services to staff, hospital personnel, and the community. Serves as a collaborative, patient‑focused, functional‑outcome‑based, and patient/family‑centered member of the team.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
  • State Licensure
Job Responsibilities
  • Contribute to department/center program development through involvement in continuous improvement, special projects, or program coordination.
  • Present and implement new treatment techniques, procedures, group treatment ideas, student supervision, and requests for new equipment, while participating in team activities approved by management.
  • Advance knowledge base, technical skills, and treatment techniques through continuing education, independent reading, hands‑on practice, and individual training sessions; participate in professional activities such as special interest groups, district meetings, post‑graduate work, seminars, and compliance with scope of practice laws.
  • Provide comprehensive evaluation, therapeutic management, goal modification, patient/family education, ongoing discharge planning, referral to appropriate professional programs, periodic re‑assessment, and develop goal‑driven treatment plans considering patient age, educational level, family support, and cultural and psychosocial issues.
  • Maintain all required documentation within time frames and guidelines established by the department.
  • Maintain established departmental productivity levels and manage time effectively.
