- Contribute to the development of written assessments, care plans, and document progress with each resident
- Assist with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities
- Assist with planning programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities
- Post activity reminders to encourage participation
- Decorate designated areas for special events and parties; provide assistance to residents, help with preparation and cleanup for such events
- Assist in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments
- Maintain a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently
- Effectively manage problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate
- Full‑time day shift 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., every other weekend and every other holiday
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; basic computer‑related skills and the ability to learn how to operate office and audio‑video equipment
- Previous activity experience in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facility
