As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with Guide Star Eldercare you will provide neurobehavioral health services to residents in long-term care facilities. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, you will partner with specialty clinicians to provide holistic, continuity of care for elderly individuals who are afflicted with neurocognitive disorders and other neurologic and/or psychiatric conditions.
Required Qualifications- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Good time management skills
- Able to function autonomously with regional Area Manager support
- Master’s degree in Counseling or in Social Work
- Currently licensed as an LPCC or LISW in the state in which you are applying
- Passion for geriatrics
- Experience in inpatient settings such as extended care facilities
- Experience with brief bedside assessment screens (cognitive, mood, etc.)
- Motivated by productivity-based positions
- Ability to navigate and document on an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
