PACS Assistant Coordinator, Radiology First Shift

Job Description

UC Health is hiring a Full‑time PACS Assistant Coordinator for the Radiology Department at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The coordinator manages the flow of information within the Imaging Services Department related to the Picture Archiving and Communications System and the Radiology Information System, reporting to the Divisional Director of Radiology or the Imaging Services Manager.

Education and experience requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1–2 years of equivalent experience, preferred

• Select appropriate studies for distribution, viewing, printing or burning.
• Transmit images to appropriate clinical devices for attending physicians and radiologists.
• Print images with proper formatting, windowing, and leveling.
• File imaging media, CDs, DVDs in computer storage area.
• Burn CDs for referring physicians and patients.
• Document scanning.
• Learn basic operation of printing devices for PACS (load film, clear jams, load CDs, etc.).
• Clean workstation environments.
• Maintain fax machine supplies.
• Have knowledge of all processing systems used in the Radiology Department; fill in at front desk and make quick decisions when necessary.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and others.
• Maintain film library; purge old films when permitted.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
