Job Details
- Expected Starting Pay Range: $17.49 - $20.99

FTE / 32 hrs per week - Shifts – Evenings and Nights (8hr shifts) weekends
- Evenings – 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Nights – 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Clerical duties:
Operate and maintain unit information systems to ensure medical record integrity, manage forms, respond to faxes, printed material, mail, and ensure accuracy of patient data. Complete admissions, discharges, transfers, and short stay documentation timely. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility with respect to patient charges and rental equipment, apply CCHMC charge capture procedures, and maintain a designated par level of clerical supplies. - Environmental management:
Ensure all areas within the division are organized, safe, accessible, and efficient for patients, families, visitors, and employees. Maintain awareness of patient location, monitor traffic flow at the front desk, assist with compliance of visitor policies, and apply arm bands for parents or caregivers. Report and follow up on maintenance (e.g., wiping down monitors, troubleshooting printer issues) and environmental service needs. - Systems management:
Identify system problems and utilize strategies for resolution. Respond to communication system or patient alarms with urgency. Review and revise staffing information. - Communication:
Demonstrate Cincinnati Children’s CARES behaviors in all interactions with patients, families, visitors, and co‑workers by actively providing exemplary customer service. Interact with parents/guardians to obtain non‑clinical information as requested. Ensure and review the timeliness, accuracy, availability, and security of information such as HIPAA, Informed Consent, and Advanced Directive for patients 18 or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No directly related experience required.
