Weekend Warrior Program | 12-Hour Night Shifts
Vent Unit | Skilled Nursing | Fountain View – Cincinnati, OH (Silverton Area)

Fountain View is seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our Weekend Warrior Night Shift Team in our specialized ventilator and skilled nursing unit. This position is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist who enjoys working in a high-acuity environment and is looking for a consistent weekend schedule with premium pay.

Position Overview

As a Weekend Warrior Respiratory Therapist
, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to residents requiring ventilator and complex pulmonary support during 12-hour overnight shifts. You will work collaboratively with nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure resident safety, comfort, and clinical excellence throughout the night.

Schedule
  • Weekend Warrior Program
  • 12-Hour Night Shifts
  • Every Friday Night, Saturday Night, and Sunday Night (or as scheduled)
  • Additional shifts may be available
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor ventilators and respiratory equipment
  • Assess residents’ respiratory status and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered
  • Perform trach care, suctioning, and airway management
  • Ensure ventilator alarms, settings, and equipment are functioning properly
  • Accurately document assessments, treatments, and interventions
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, and clinical leadership overnight
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide critical clinical support
  • Promote resident comfort, safety, and quality care during overnight hours
Qualifications
  • Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)
  • Ventilator experience required (SNF, LTACH, hospital, ICU, or pulmonary unit preferred)
  • Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions overnight
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Skilled nursing, long-term care, or ventilator unit experience preferred
