Job Overview

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, in collaboration with University Health Services, is recruiting a full-time Clinical Counselor or Social Worker to join the department that will provide comprehensive clinical, consultative, emergency and psycho-educational services to the student body of the University of Cincinnati.
EssentialFunctions
- Provide direct patient care through individual psychotherapy.
- Conduct psychological assessment, diagnosis, consultation, treatment, and related psychological services to students.
- Apply and supervise psychological procedures and techniques in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological disorders.
- Provide crisis management and case coordination with interdisciplinary clinic team members.
- Function as a member of interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide education and support regarding psychosocial and behavioral issues to medical school faculty, attending physicians, nursing staff, residents, interns, medical students, and other trainees as requested or needed.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, case conference meetings, and other clinic meetings.
- Fulfill medical records, billing, HIPAA, and other administrative requirements associated with patient care.
