Job Summary
Adoration Health is seeking a compassionate, grounded, and spiritually-sensitive Chaplain in Troy, OH. Our Chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families during end-of-life care. This role is an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, offering a nonjudgmental presence and care that honors the beliefs, values, and cultural backgrounds of those we serve.

Schedule:
M-F 8a to 5p

- Conduct and ensure timely spiritual assessments for patients and families
- Participate in developing individualized care plans to address spiritual needs
- Provide direct spiritual support to patients, families, and caregivers
- Serve as a liaison to community chaplains and spiritual counselors
- Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual services and communications
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning
- Offer education and spiritual care guidance to the care team
- Recruit and support community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and volunteers
- Coordinate and lead memorial or funeral services as requested
- Organize periodic memorials for staff, volunteers, and community partners
- Assist in supervising spiritual care volunteers
- Graduate of an accredited theology or chaplaincy program (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree)
- Experience working with death and dying, hospice experience preferred
- Comfort in an interfaith setting
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order
- Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values
- Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group
- Ability to network with community clergy and congregations
