Perinatal Ultrasonographer – Bethesda North Hospital Location

Bethesda North Hospital, 10500 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, OH 45242.

• Full-Time (40 hours weekly)

This position exists in the perinatal specialty units and works under the direction of the Maternal Fetal Medicine staff and manager or supervisor. Must demonstrate competencies in various OB procedures, performing ultrasound examinations in accordance with AIUM guidelines and protocols. The incumbent is responsible for patient care, accurate record keeping, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Requires RDMS registry in OB and meeting continuing education requirements.

• Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – upon hire required
• RDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – upon hire required
• OB/GYN cervical length certification within 1 year required

• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment and ultrasound protocols, producing high quality images for interpretation
• Perform invasives procedures assistance competently
• Complete studies accurately and timely
• Exhibit positive attitude when communicating with physicians, patients, and staff
• Accept constructive criticism and strive for improvement; show flexibility
• Maintain all necessary certifications and demonstrate continued competence once certified
• Act as a resource in the perinatal units for other sonographers, students, and residents; assist in education
