Fountain View Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activity Aide to join our team. . As an Activity Aide, you will play a key role in providing meaningful resident engagement through recreational activities, therapeutic activities, social programs, life enrichment initiatives, and community events that enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Full-Time
40 Hours Per Week
Every Other Weekend Required

The Activity Aide is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and implementation of resident-centered activities designed to promote physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive well-being. This position works closely with residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community to create meaningful experiences that encourage participation, independence, and engagement.
Essential ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead daily recreational and social activities for residents
Facilitate group programs, games, crafts, exercise activities, music programs, holiday celebrations, and special events
Encourage resident participation and social interaction
Assist with developing and maintaining activity calendars
Create flyers, announcements, and promotional materials for activities and events
Shop for activity supplies and maintain inventory
Support residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities
Build positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and team members
Assist with community outings and special programs
Document resident attendance and participation in activities
Promote a positive and engaging environment throughout the facility
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous experience as an Activity Aide, Activities Assistant, Recreation Assistant, or similar role preferred
Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing Facility, Nursing Home, Rehabilitation, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Healthcare experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with seniors
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
