In This Role You Will:
* Prepares each resident for the day and/or night by assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and activities of daily living
* Obtains resident vital signs in accordance with departmental policy; reads and accurately records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight
* Promptly and accurately documents all required resident information in the medical record
* Responds to resident call lights and other types of requests for assistance in a timely manner.
* Addresses resident toileting needs and incontinence issues in accordance with state and federal regulations and infection control procedures.
* Provides restorative care and assists non-ambulatory residents with range of motion exercises in accordance with the care plan.
* Passes fresh ice water and nourishments to residents within required time frames.
* Immediately reports any unusual symptoms, changes, accidents, and/or injuries to the DON or Nursing Supervisor
* Facilitate meal service for the residents: transport residents to the dining room; distribute correct meal tray to each resident; assist with feeding, as necessary; deliver meal trays to resident rooms, as required; remove trays from table, prepare and store meal trays for removal
* Stocks and obtains necessary supplies and clean nursing equipment (e.g. bedpans, wheelchairs, etc.) in accordance with scheduled duties or as directed.
Shift Details:
* Fulltime Day shift 7a-7p, every other weekend and some holidays
* Fulltime Night shift 7p-7a, every other weekend and some holidays
* Limited PRN positions available
Who You Are:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* State Tested Nurse Aide license or CNA Certificate
* A compassionate, team player, and have passion to work with the elderly!
