Minimum
Job Requirements:
- High School Degree
- Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology. We will accept a non-accredited school of Surgical Technology if hired prior to 2019
- BLS/CPR(Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Surgical Technologist Certification required
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to anticipate and prioritize tasks adjusting to changes with minimal help of explicit instructions.
- Advanced Technical Role that has broad knowledge of processes and/or tools required in the team or department through on-the-job training and/or certification or vocational training.
- Communicates effectively. Assists with patient flow activities and report patient related information & tasks completed to RN.
- Demonstrates the ability to provide a safe environment for patients consistent with the practice of aseptic technique, and the counting of sharps and instruments in the operative area.
- Performs scrub duties according to hospital policy and procedure. Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy and physiology, instrumentation, surgery procedures, and equipment.
- Provides solutions to unusual or less-frequent issues and questions.
- Routine work does not require instruction or support and new activities or special projects require only general instruction.
