RT (Respiratory Therapist) Director

Job Summary:Clovernook is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Respiratory Therapy to lead our ventilator and respiratory services program within a skilled nursing environment. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned Respiratory Therapist who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and high-quality ventilator care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and oversight of the respiratory therapy and ventilator program
- Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and coverage for RT services
- Oversee ventilator management, trach care, and respiratory treatments
- Develop, review, and maintain respiratory therapy policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and survey readiness
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to respiratory therapy staff
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and physicians on care planning and clinical outcomes
- Participate in admissions, resident assessments, and discharge planning as needed
- Monitor quality indicators, incident reports, and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and departmental records
- Support education, training, and competency validation for RT staff
- Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT preferred) in the state of Ohio
- Significant ventilator experience required (SNF, LTACH, ICU, or hospital setting)
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management, trach care, and respiratory protocols
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred
