Role OverviewWe are seeking dedicated caregivers to provide in-home support for autistic individuals. This is a contract position based in the Cincinnati metro area, with flexible scheduling and in-person caregiving responsibilities. As an In-Home Autism Caregiver, you will play a vital role in implementing personalized care plans, ensuring a safe and structured environment, and fostering independence in our clients. You will also maintain accurate records and collaborate with families to enhance the well-being of those in your care.
This is a flexible position that does not require full-time commitment, allowing you to set a schedule that works for you.
- Provide direct in-home support and supervision to autistic individuals.
- Implement individualized care plans that promote safety, skill-building, and independence.
- Monitor and document daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Utilize best practices in communication and behavior management.
- Collaborate with families and professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure a positive and engaging environment for clients.
- Enjoy a flexible schedule with the ability to choose shifts that fit your availability.
Required:
- Experience in caregiving, special education, or a related field.
- Prior experience working with autistic individuals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively.
Preferred (but not required):
- Certification in Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Music Therapy, or a related field.
- Training in First Aid, CPR/AED, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) or similar safety protocols.
