This role requires regular travel throughout the assigned service area to provide services in client homes, schools, community locations, and GRO office sites.

About Us

God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental health care provider specializing in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological, and psychological effects of trauma and include mental health and wellness services, community support interventions, case management, and community outreach.

Position Summary

The Therapist provides clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Therapist partners closely with Qualified Mental Health Specialists (QMHS), psychiatric providers, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated, medically necessary, and person-centered care.

Role Responsibilities Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis
  • Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Complete Ohio CANS/IM+CANS assessments and maintain required certification, as applicable.
  • Formulate and document clinically supported diagnoses based on assessment findings, professional scope of practice, and applicable supervision requirements.
  • Determine and document medical necessity and recommended level of care for behavioral health services.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements.
Treatment Planning
  • Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans.
  • Update treatment plans according to regulatory and clinical requirements.
  • Ensure all interventions align with treatment goals and medical necessity.
  • Monitor client progress and modify interventions as clinically indicated.
Direct Clinical Services
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Deliver services in office, school, home, and community settings.
  • Facilitate psycho educational and therapeutic groups.
  • Support clients experiencing behavioral health, emotional, and psychosocial challenges.
Care Coordination
  • Collaborate with QMHS staff regarding treatment implementation and client engagement.
  • Coordinate care with psychiatric providers, schools, probation officers, families, and community partners.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical consultations.
  • Assist with referrals and linkage to community resources.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete documentation accurately and within agency timelines.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicaid, HIPAA, agency policies, and applicable state regulations.
  • Support medical necessity through thorough documentation.
  • Maintain professional licensure and credentialing requirements.
Professional Development
  • Participate in clinical supervision both individual and group.
  • Attend all required trainings and staff meetings.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements.
Compensation
  • Base compensation rate of $65.00 per billable hour for completed and approved client services.
  • Potential annual earnings of $70,000-$95,000, based on individual billable services, client engagement, and overall productivity.
Qualifications Required
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current Ohio licensure in good standing as an LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, MFT, or IMFT. Supervision must be maintained as required by the applicable license type and scope of practice.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Medicaid credentialing.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Successful completion of required background screenings.
Preferred
  • Experience providing community-based behavioral health services.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment models.
  • Experience working with justice-involved youth or adults.

    Familiarity with Ohio CANS and electronic health record systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
