The Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) is seeking a pediatric psychologist to work with a broad range of pediatric gastroenterology conditions. This position emphasizes close collaboration with faculty in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, the Colorectal Center, and Behavioral Medicine & Clinical Psychology. Responsibilities include providing psychological assessment and delivering evidence-based interventions to children and adolescents with GI concerns in the outpatient setting. Opportunities for clinical collaboration are available within the Multidisciplinary Motility Clinic and the Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction Clinic, both nationally recognized destination programs. The position also offers opportunities to develop new GI psychology programs and group-based interventions aligned with the candidate’s interests.
Although primarily clinical, this role includes opportunities for program development, supervision and teaching of psychology trainees and medical residents, and participation in clinical research.
The ideal candidate will have completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or school psychology, be licensed or license-eligible in Ohio and eligible for PsyPACT participation and have completed postdoctoral training with a focus on pediatric psychology within a health/medical setting. Experience with gastrointestinal disorders and co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns is preferred, but not required.
