About the Role
Medix is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for an immediate opportunity with a large client of ours in Cincinnati.
The team is looking for a confident CT Tech who can jump into a new department with minimal ramp-up and independently produce high-quality diagnostic imaging. There is no specific minimum number of years required, but the more experienced, the better.
This position offers a consistent 4x10 schedule
, giving you three days off each week.
Contract: Travel or Local Contract available (13 weeks to start, with possible extension)
Start Date: ASAP, with on-boarding and compliance
Setting: Medical Center / Hospital
Schedule- 4x10s
- 11:00 AM–9:30 PM
- Three days off each week
- Perform high-quality diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols
- Select appropriate imaging protocols and technical parameters based on patient history
- Perform contrast injections and IV access as needed
- Demonstrate competency with patient positioning and image quality
- Perform 3D reconstructions
- Assist with interventional/biopsy procedures as applicable
- Recognize pathology and ensure appropriate diagnostic images are obtained
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Recognize and appropriately respond to emergent patient situations
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required records
- Follow all departmental safety, quality, and imaging protocols
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, supervisors, patients, and interdisciplinary teams
- Assist with X-ray in addition to CT at other location
Equipment: Siemens CT scanners
EMR: Epic
PACS: Merge PACS
Patient Volume: Approximately 30 scans per shift
, depending on daily volume and hours
Contrast: CT Techs administer contrast and may place IVs as needed
Required Qualifications- Active ARRT certification
- CT credential/certification
- Strong hands-on CT experience
- Ability to work independently and transition into a new department quickly
- Comfortable administering contrast and performing IV access
- Comfortable assisting with X-ray at the Western Ridge location
- Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills
- Epic and/or Merge PACS experience
- Broad CT experience within a hospital or medical center environment
The interview process is straightforward and consists of a phone interview with the CT Supervisor
. The team is targeting quick feedback and is looking to fill the opening as soon as possible.
This is an immediate need after a previously scheduled traveler was unable to start, making it a great opportunity for an experienced CT Tech who is ready to move quickly. You’ll receive a consistent four-day workweek while joining an established imaging team.
