As the Medical Records, Transportation Coordinator & Central Supply Clerk
, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate patient documentation, coordinating resident transportation services, and maintaining inventory levels for clinical and operational departments. This position supports the interdisciplinary healthcare team by helping maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring timely transportation scheduling, and organizing medical and facility supplies that contribute to exceptional resident care.
Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) and resident charts.
Ensure medical records are complete, organized, and compliant with healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and facility policies.
File, scan, retrieve, and maintain patient documentation and medical records.
Assist with medical record audits, compliance reviews, admissions, discharges, and record retention procedures.
Support healthcare administrators, nurses, and clinical staff with documentation requests.
Schedule and coordinate resident transportation to physician appointments, dialysis treatments, specialist visits, and other healthcare services.
Communicate with transportation vendors, healthcare providers, residents, and families to ensure timely transportation arrangements.
Track transportation schedules and maintain accurate records of appointments and transportation activities.
Resolve scheduling conflicts and provide exceptional customer service to residents and families.
Manage central supply inventory
, including medical supplies, nursing supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and facility materials.Monitor inventory levels and submit orders to maintain appropriate supply stock.
Receive, organize, distribute, and track supplies throughout the facility.
Maintain supply rooms in a clean, organized, and compliant manner.
Assist with inventory control, purchasing processes, and cost management efforts.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in medical records, healthcare administration, central supply, inventory management, transportation coordination, admissions, or long-term care preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records procedures.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems) preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare software systems.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
