Adjunct - Health Simulation Lab

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is recruiting an Adjunct faculty member in the Health Simulation Lab that exhibits strong communication skills, strong organizational skills, background in a healthcare discipline, with a background in health simulation preferred. This position will provide support and facilitation of simulation in the Health Simulation Lab only. You should be fully committed to the Mission and Values of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and subsequently to that of the Health Simulation Lab.

• Facilitate simulation laboratory experiences for students in collaboration with faculty and in accordance with course objectives and program outcomes.
• Prepare, operate, and maintain simulation equipment, task trainers, and audiovisual technology used during simulation activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional simulation learning environment.
• Ensure simulation equipment, supplies, and learning materials are organized, inventoried, and prepared and functioning properly before scheduled activities.
• Promote compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and healthcare regulations.

• Background in Healthcare Discipline
• Bachelor's Degree in field of practice or higher
• Day and Evening Availability
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds

• Background in Healthcare Simulation Based Education
• 3-5 years of recent experience working in healthcare facility/industry
• CHSE/CHSOS/CHSE-A Certification

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to act effectively as a member of a team.
• Ability to interact successfully with academic as well as business and regulatory personnel.
• Demonstrates success and commitment as a team player.
• Utilizes constructive feedback as an opportunity for growth and handles conflict and criticism effectively.
• Ability to create a positive learning environment that is respectful and promotes the interests of students first, while setting appropriate expectations for student growth and success.
• Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
• Computer based software, analytical, and report writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines.

• Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision
• Ability to learn from students' participation, demonstrates fair and consistent behavior in all matters, and shows compassion without being ineffectual
