About the Role:

The Compliance, Risk and Quality Assurance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that healthcare operations adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, thereby safeguarding the organization from legal and financial risks. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive compliance and risk management programs that promote patient safety, data integrity, and operational excellence. The manager will lead quality assurance initiatives to continuously monitor and improve healthcare service delivery, ensuring that standards meet or exceed industry benchmarks.

Collaborating closely with clinical, administrative, and executive teams, this role drives a culture of accountability and ethical practice throughout the organization. Ultimately, the manager’s efforts will contribute to enhanced patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and the organization’s reputation for quality care within the healthcare and social assistance sector.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, risk management, or quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS guidelines.
• Proven experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and developing compliance programs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and influence multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or a related discipline.
• Certification such as Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or Certified Risk Manager (CRM).
• Experience working within a hospital or large healthcare system environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare data analytics.
• Demonstrated success in leading organizational change and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement corrective action plans.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives by establishing performance metrics, monitoring outcomes, and facilitating continuous improvement processes.
• Provide training and education to staff on compliance policies, risk management practices, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate compliance issues, manage incident reporting, and ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on compliance status, risk assessments, and quality metrics to senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Stay current with changes in healthcare laws, regulations, and industry best practices to proactively update organizational policies.
