Join a collaborative hospital-based cardiac services team as a Cath Lab Technologist in Cincinnati, Ohio. This travel healthcare job offers the opportunity to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures in a modern procedural environment featuring two cath labs, an electrophysiology (EP) lab, and a hybrid operating room (OR) suite.   • Schedule: Monday-Friday; four 10-hour day shifts per week
  • Shift Duration: 10-hour days, generally 7:00 a.m.

    -5:30 p.m.
  • Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
  • Schedule Flexibility: Daily start and end times may vary based on department needs
  • Call Requirements: Approximately 1-2 call days per week and 1-2 call weekends per month, based on departmental scheduling needs
  • Patient Population: Adults, including cardiac and peripheral vascular patients
  • Procedures: Diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, including carotid and hybrid cath lab/OR cases; no neuro cases
  • Equipment: Philips Xper FD10 and FD20 systems

Cath Lab Technologist

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential required
  • ARRT certification required
  • Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved provider
  • High school diploma required
  • Travel experience preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with scrubbing and fluoroscopy during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory and participate in scheduled call coverage
  • Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and maneuver equipment or patients as required
Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular, diagnostic, and interventional procedures while functioning effectively in scrub, monitor, and circulating roles.
  • Scrub and operate fluoroscopy equipment during cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Acquire, process, and accurately document physiologic, hemodynamic, and procedural data.
  • Enter patient and procedural information into the angiographic archival system and electronic medical record.
  • Operate digital imaging and X-ray acquisition systems in accordance with industry standards and patient-safety practices.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients throughout the procedural experience.
  • Support patient preparation, monitoring, recovery, and ongoing care in accordance with department policies and standards.
