- Collaborate with the Events Manager and event organizers to understand event details including guest count, menu details, special requests, and other relevant information
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to event staff, ensuring everyone understands their roles during the Event
- Oversee the setup of banquet spaces, ensuring tables, chairs, linens, and decor are arranged according to event requirements; ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the banquet areas
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and address any immediate concerns of special requests
- Ensure all service standards are met or exceeded during the event; monitor the timing of courses, beverage service, and other elements to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Handle guest feedback or issues that may arise during the event, providing solutions promptly and maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Oversee beverage service and ensure responsible alcohol service practices and laws are followed; monitor inventory and coordinate with the team to restock as needed
- Maintain event flow and adherence to schedule, coordinating with culinary teams to ensure timely delivery of courses
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations during events, ensuring guest and team member well-being; properly handle and store banquet equipment
- Assist with event breakdown, cleaning, and storage of equipment and supplies; provide Event Manager with feedback to improve future events
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the event as directed by the Event Manager and attend relevant meetings as directed
- 6+ months of related experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred
- State-issued food handling + beverage certifications as required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before guests and groups of co-workers.
- Ability to navigate and operate computer and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Sharp attention to detail to ensure all event elements are executed seamlessly.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations with composure.
