About the Role

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations in alignment with Choice Hotels brand standards. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, drives revenue and profitability, and leads the team in daily execution across front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and sales.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring compliance with Choice brand standards and SOPs
  • Drive revenue performance through rate strategy, occupancy management, and sales initiatives
  • Manage expenses, budgets, and P&L to meet financial targets
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff; foster a positive and accountable team culture
  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and respond to guest feedback and service recovery
  • Oversee housekeeping, maintenance, and property condition to maintain brand quality scores
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize Choice systems (Choice Advantage, reports, STAR reports) to monitor performance and adjust strategy
  • Coordinate with ownership on reporting, capital improvements, and operational initiatives
Qualifications/ Requirements
  • 3+ years of hotel management experience (Choice Hotels experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and guest service standards
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems (Choice Advantage preferred)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
