Housekeeping Supervisor

About this role

Housekeeping Supervisor – responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across guest rooms and public spaces while training, motivating, and evaluating housekeeping staff.

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is satisfactory.
• Work as a team to accomplish the hotel’s cleanliness goals.
• Coordinate the day’s workflow and distribution of duties.
• Inspect guest rooms following highest quality standards.
• Hold department employees accountable for maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Supervise and train staff to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Assist with inventory of linen and supplies.
• Assist in completion of performance evaluations.
• Use judgment and experience to distribute work, assign rooms, and duties to staff.
• Coordinate activities with the Front Desk Supervisor and staff.
• Report maintenance needs appropriately.
• Ensure employees use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Find coverage for callouts or increased house counts.
• Perform other related duties as requested by Management.

• At least 6 months of experience in a similar housekeeping position.
• Engaging and caring personality.
• Strong time‑management skills.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
• Physical ability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; detect odors; navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; and operate equipment such as spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
• Capacity to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.

$18.00 – $18.00 per hour.
