Responsible for overall operation of food and beverages, bars, and banquet departments delivering quality service, compliance of policies and procedures while meeting or exceeding financial goals. Manage all administrative functions such as scheduling, purchasing, hiring and terminations of associates in a fiscally responsible manner. Works closely with catering and convention services.

• Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline associates; communicate job expectations, duties and responsibilities.
• Plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions; plan and review compensation actions; enforce policies and procedures.
• Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
• Resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends; determine system improvements; implement change.
• Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
• Conform to the regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission to avoid legal challenges.
• Ensure portion control and monitor accuracy of charges to maximize bar profitability.
• Publicize food and beverage by designing and placing advertisements; invite food editors; contact local, regional, and national magazines; encourage local businesses to hold social events.
• Establish, follow, and enforce sanitation standards and procedures; supervise maintenance of equipment; protect assets.
• Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations.
• Investigate, resolve, respond to guest needs, inquiries, comments, and or problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
• Update the cash management system and compile, generate and prepare various reports to aid in the administration of the food and beverage.
• Perform Manager‑on‑Duty functions and shifts as assigned.
