SUMMARY
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking, retrieving guest vehicles, and assisting guests with luggage during arrival and departure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Maintains a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, coworkers, and clients; acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette; posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks.
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations.
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; consistently completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt; calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.
- All other duties account for the remaining time to reach 100% of the job.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- License: Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work (or within a commutable distance).
- Experience: One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Skills: Read/write standard English; comprehend simple instructions; write simple correspondence; present information in one-on-one or small group situations; perform basic arithmetic with money; understand 24‑hour/military time; understand rates; operate a manual transmission (desirable); perform parallel parking.
Hourly base pay range: $10 per hour plus $5-$10 per hour in tips. The work schedule may include AM/PM shift times. Eligible employees may enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan, subject to eligibility requirements. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for these benefits.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe job requires frequent sitting or standing, occasional running, walking, handling objects, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. The work is predominantly outdoors, exposing employees to extreme heat and cold weather. Occasional travel of up to 5% may be required. Repetitive talking or hearing is required.
