Job SummaryFood & Beverage Manager
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of food and beverage services, including restaurants, bars, banquets, catering, and special events. This position provides leadership to front-of-house staff, ensures exceptional guest service, manages operational and financial performance, and coordinates event execution from planning through completion.
The Food & Beverage Manager works closely with culinary, sales, event, and operations teams to ensure efficient service, high-quality food and beverage presentation, proper staffing, and compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
- Oversee daily food and beverage operations and ensure consistent service, quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate food and beverage employees.
- Manage banquet and catering operations, including event preparation, staffing, room setup, service execution, breakdown, and post-event activities.
- Coordinate with clients, event planners, culinary teams, and internal departments to ensure successful execution of meetings, weddings, corporate events, and other functions.
- Review banquet event orders and ensure menus, equipment, staffing, timelines, and service requirements are properly communicated and executed.
- Monitor food and beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, portion control, and waste management.
- Manage labor and operating expenses while supporting revenue and profitability goals.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, safety, alcohol-service, and company policies.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings, inspect service areas, and maintain established operational and presentation standards.
- Monitor sales, cash handling, POS procedures, and daily financial reports.
- Assist with developing and implementing procedures designed to improve efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
- Provide hands-on leadership during high-volume periods, special events, and large-scale functions.
- Supervise concession stand operations as needed, including staffing, inventory, product availability, POS and cash procedures, cleanliness, service flow, and guest service during events.
- Coordinate with facilities and event operations regarding equipment, setup, maintenance, and operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of food and beverage and event operations.
- Previous management or supervisory experience in food and beverage, hospitality, banquets, catering, events, or a related industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, inventory control, labor management, and customer service practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules.
- Experience with banquet, catering, concession, or large-scale event operations is preferred.
