The Human Resource (HR) Generalist is a proactive, detail-oriented professional responsible for supporting and enhancing our human resources operations. This role manages a diverse range of HR functions, including full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and regulatory compliance. The position requires a people-focused individual who can effectively balance essential administrative responsibilities with strategic organizational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR systems are current, compliant, and audit-ready
- Act as a frontline resource for associate questions and concerns; provide guidance on policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving workplace issues, and promoting a positive work environment
- Conduct fact‑finding, document incidents, and support workplace investigations in partnership with HR leadership
- Assist with progressive discipline processes, conflict resolution, and investigation outcomes
- Support performance management processes, including reviews, documentation, and goal tracking
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to support employee growth and organizational needs
- Support employee engagement and culture‑building initiatives
- Serve as payroll backup by reviewing timekeeping, verifying employee changes (hires, terminations, pay updates), assisting with payroll processing, and responding to payroll‑related inquiries
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources required
- 1–3 years of HR experience (HR Generalist or similar role preferred)
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities - Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- HR certification, SHRM or PHR, preferred
