Career Opportunity: HR Implementation Specialist with Butler Metropolitan Housing Authority in Cincinnati, OH
Onsite | 6-Month Contract
Do you enjoy improving systems? Do you like solving problems and helping people navigate change? If so, this could be a great fit. At Butler Metropolitan Housing Authority, you’ll help make HR processes easier, clearer, and more effective for the people who rely on them every day.
You’ll work with HR, IT, leadership, and vendors to strengthen systems, improve processes, and help the team make lasting progress. This onsite, 6-month contract role is ideal for someone who likes to jump into a project, make an impact quickly, and keep things moving.
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll partner closely with HR, IT, leadership, and vendors to make sure HR tools and processes actually work for the people using them.
That includes:
- Supporting the implementation and improvement of HR systems such as HRIS, payroll, benefits, time tracking, performance management, and learning platforms
- Working with vendors and internal teams to test systems, manage data, and support go‑live activities
- Creating clear documentation, job aids, and workflows so employees and managers know what to do
- Helping train HR staff, managers, and employees on new tools and processes
- Troubleshooting issues after launch and identifying practical improvements
- Ensuring HR changes align with employment laws and compliance requirements
- Supporting audits, reporting, and data accuracy related to HR systems
- Owning assigned HR projects and communicating updates clearly
You don’t need to know everything, but you should be comfortable working in HR systems and navigating change.
A strong fit will have:- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR operations, HR systems, or project‑based HR roles
- Hands‑on experience supporting or implementing HR technology
- A working understanding of HR compliance and employment laws
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Experience in nonprofit, public sector, or housing environments
- HR or project management certification
- Experience supporting multiple locations or union environments
