HR Operations Coordinator (Hourly Workforce)
Position Overview
Emery Oleochemicals is seeking an HR Operations Coordinator to support hourly workforce management and operational execution within the Cincinnati site.
This role focuses on training coordination, workforce tracking, and attendance administration to support safe, consistent, and efficient plant operations. The position partners closely with HR and Operations to ensure hourly employees are trained, scheduled, and managed in alignment with company standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities Training Coordination & Workforce Readiness- Coordinate hourly employee training programs, including onboarding and certification tracking
- Maintain and manage training matrices to track qualifications, certifications, and skill gaps
- Monitor training progress and proactively identify workforce readiness risks
- Partner with Operations and HSE to coordinate required safety and compliance training
- Support planning to ensure adequate staffing of trained and certified employees
- Review hourly employee timecards daily for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Partner with HR and Operations to manage attendance tracking and point system application
- Identify and communicate attendance issues, including when points or warnings should be applied
- Track attendance trends and ensure consistent application of policies across departments
- Support oversight of overtime to ensure alignment with staffing needs and cost control
- Coordinate administration of hourly workforce programs including uniforms, safety shoes, and prescription safety glasses
- Manage employee badging and facility access in coordination with site requirements
- Support onboarding coordination for new hourly employees
- Maintain accurate workforce records and documentation
- Partner closely with Operations, HR, and HSE to support daily workforce needs
- Provide regular updates on training status, attendance trends, and workforce gaps
- Support continuous improvement of workforce processes, tracking tools, and reporting
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR, Business, or related field)
- 3+ years of experience in HR, workforce coordination, or manufacturing support roles
- Experience supporting hourly work forces in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Familiarity with timekeeping systems and attendance tracking
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately
- Ability to work cross-functionally with HR and Operations
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
