Location:

Dayton or Columbus, OH (remote with local travel; must be based in region).

About the Role

You’ll partner directly with client leaders to deliver both strategic and hands‑on HR support. This role leads client engagements from planning through execution while supporting day‑to‑day HR operations and high‑impact initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client projects from scope through delivery, managing timelines, stakeholders, and outcomes.
  • Advise leadership on strategic initiatives, including organizational design, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Provide guidance on HR compliance, employment law, and complex employee relations matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, high‑quality service.
  • Design and analyze compensation strategies, including market‑based pay structures and recommendations.
  • Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues, identifying root causes and solutions.
  • Support core HR operations, including HRIS/ATS management, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Execute recruiting and performance management processes, including hiring support and performance reviews.
  • Facilitate training programs and workshops (virtual and in person) and support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Research HR policies, update handbooks, and support safety and compliance initiatives.
  • Manage priorities, track progress, and maintain accurate reporting for client work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years of HR management experience.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience.
  • HR certification required.
  • Experience across key HR functions, including compensation, payroll, and training/development.
  • Strong expertise in compensation design and payroll analysis.
  • Experience facilitating training programs and workshops.
  • Excellent communication skills with a client‑focused, consultative approach.
  • Ability to translate technical HR concepts into practical business solutions.
  • Preferred:
    Master’s degree, compensation certification, or advanced HR specialization.
