HR Coordinator

General

Summary:

The HR Coordinator is responsible for administering talent management initiatives as well as providing guidance and assistance to management in support of overall Human Resources (HR) programs including recruitment, talent management, reporting, and HR Information Systems (HRIS) data entry.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Administers the Bank's recognition programs including communications, organizing award ceremonies, and analyzing metrics to ensure programs are effective, utilized and well-received and recommend enhancements to the programs as necessary. Lead Bank's internship program, including recruitment, onboarding, development activities, performance feedback, and program evaluation to ensure a meaningful intern experience and alignment with organizational talent objectives. Partners with the Sr HR Generalist to conduct full cycle recruiting for all departments within FHLB, ensuring job vacancies are filled promptly and with qualified candidates.

Shares in the responsibility for preparing and attending job fairs / outreach, conducting new hire orientations, and sending and monitoring onboarding surveys. Monitors the annual training calendar and markets internal training opportunities. Ensures required compliance trainings are launched and completed. Supports HR communications including the Bank's intranet. Identifies new or improved communication. Proactively reaches out to colleagues on ideas to improve other HR communication strategy or documents.

Collaborates with departments to edit and upload relevant articles. Partners with the Employee Events Committee for planning employee events including community charitable campaigns (United Way, Artswave etc.), employee appreciation and other bank wide celebrations. Collaborates with HR Manager, Talent Management to manage the HR talent management processes. Utilizes HRIS (ADP/Cornerstone) to prepare reports to collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends.

May assist in testing, identifying and recommending changes/enhancements to systems. Processes and tracks tuition reimbursement and technical training forms. Works with vendors to manage products for the in-house merchandise store. Reviews and processes invoices for the Talent Management team using Concur. Creates and maintains a variety of confidential employee files to ensure records are accurately maintained concerning employment, compensation and recruitment.

Maintains documentation of procedures related to areas of responsibility. Performs other duties and completes special projects as assigned.

Minimum

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, necessary to perform assigned duties. 1-3 years of related experience and knowledge of HR administration, systems, processes, and recruiting. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Flexibility to meet deadlines as required. Ability to edit correspondence from rough drafts for review as well as compose original correspondence/ communications.

Ability to interact with all levels of staff and outside personnel in a professional manner to exchange/obtain information; ability to constantly handle sensitive/confidential information and continually demonstrate professionalism, tact, and diplomacy. Ability to work independently, identify, recommend and implement solutions to various administrative problems, prioritize workload and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Intermediate skills using Word and Excel required.

Working Conditions:

Hybrid work environment (3 days in office). Minimal travel may be required to attend recruiting and outreach events.
