What you'll do:
  • Support full-cycle recruiting: posting roles, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and helping managers make great hiring decisions
  • Own new hire onboarding and help create a welcoming, organized first-90-days experience
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and day-to-day HR needs
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support performance management processes, including tracking timelines and helping prepare materials for managers
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, culture events, and internal communications
  • Partner with the HR team on special projects — process improvements, policy updates and more
  • Help maintain and improve HR documentation, handbooks, and standard operating procedures
Skills,

Education and Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR role (generalist, coordinator, or specialist background welcome)
  • HS diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • A genuine interest in people, problem-solving, and process improvement
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities at once
  • Solid communication skills — you can explain policies clearly and handle sensitive conversations with discretion
  • Working knowledge of HR fundamentals (employment law basics, benefits, recruiting)
  • Comfort with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office programs; experience working in an HRIS platform such as Paycom, Paylocity, ADP, Ultipro, or similar.
  • A team-player mindset with the flexibility to jump between strategic projects and day-to-day support
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or working toward certification a plus
