Security Administrator

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Security Administrator to join a growing professional services organization. This role focuses on ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of enterprise systems while providing expert-level firewall administration, SOC escalation support, and network security configuration. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to security, strong documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to reduce risk and enhance security posture.

• Serve as an escalation point for outsourced SOC-related security incidents.
• Create, modify, and maintain firewall rule sets, policies, and device configurations.
• Administer and configure Checkpoint firewalls.
• Support and manage the organization’s security training and awareness programs (KnowBe4).
• Monitor and report on the availability and performance of security layers.
• Perform trend analysis to identify top security incidents and partner with teams to mitigate future risks.
• Design, set up, and configure secure access solutions, including remote access VPNs and site-to-site VPNs.
• Conduct root cause analysis on security events and implement corrective actions.

• Hands-on experience with Checkpoint firewall administration and configuration

• Experience with KnowBe4 security awareness training

• Experience with Azure (network security groups and application security groups).
• Networking experience across servers, telecom, and firewalls.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong documentation skills and clear communication abilities.
• High initiative and problem-solving skills.
