Vernovis is looking for an Application Systems Specialist to support enterprise-wide applications and middleware platforms. This role partners closely with application development teams and focuses on application support, automation, and CI/CD delivery in a large enterprise environment.

• Support and monitor enterprise applications and middleware used across the organization
• Provide fast-paced “swat team” support for application development projects, resolving issues to keep delivery on track
• Design, build, and support CI/CD pipelines for multi-environment application deployments (dev, test, prod) using Azure Dev Ops ALM
  , including approval workflows and release controls
• Support and manage application deployments, upgrades, and releases following Dev Ops best practices
• Design and maintain Power Shell scripts to automate application deployments, environment management, and operational support tasks
• Develop and run SQL scripts for application data support and troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot failed deployments and pipeline issues, quickly identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions
• Troubleshoot application issues across Windows, Linux, middleware, and web platforms
• Act as a technical liaison between application development, operations, and business teams

• Power Shell scripting (hands-on automation; ability to write scripts from scratch)
• Windows and Linux (application-level support)
• Azure Dev Ops ALM (Server and/or Services) or similar CI/CD tools
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines
  , repositories, and deployment processes
• Experience implementing approval gates and multi-environment deployments
• IBM Web Sphere Application Server (Traditional and/or Liberty)
• Active Directory and LDAP (application authentication and access)
• Web servers:
  IIS and/or Apache

• IBM middleware or enterprise platforms (BPM, MQ, File Net, Content Manager)
• Workflow platforms or image repositories
• Experience supporting multiple enterprise applications
• Background in financial services, insurance, or other regulated environments

• Comfortable working in a large, complex enterprise environment
• Able to take ownership quickly and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communicator who works closely with application development teams
• Service-oriented mindset with a focus on stability, automation, and reliable delivery
• Calm and effective when troubleshooting production and deployment issues
