Information Security Analyst

Vernovis is partnering with a well-established Cincinnati-based organization that is continuing to invest in and evolve its cybersecurity capabilities. This role will work closely with the CIO and internal IT leaders to help safeguard systems, strengthen risk management practices, and advance overall security maturity.

• Actively monitor security events and respond to incidents to minimize risk and impact
• Investigate threats, perform root cause analysis, and document findings
• Execute vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts
• Assist with security governance, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
• Manage and optimize security tools including SIEM, endpoint, and monitoring solutions
• Collaborate with IT and business partners to integrate security into daily operations
• Support security awareness initiatives and incident response exercises
• Deliver clear security reporting and insights to leadership

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in information security or cybersecurity
• Practical experience using security tools such as SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability scanners
• Familiarity with industry security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, or similar)
• Experience supporting incident response and security investigations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

• Background supporting GRC, audits, or regulatory requirements
• Experience in enterprise or highly regulated environments
• Exposure to endpoint protection, network monitoring, or data loss prevention tools
