MIS Solutions is a growing Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) supporting approximately 100 managed partners across a wide range of industries. We specialize in delivering reliable, secure, and scalable IT solutions while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and long-term partnerships.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining, supporting, and improving our partners' IT environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast‑paced MSP environment, managing multiple client systems, and solving complex technical challenges.

What You'll Do

As a System Administrator, you will help ensure the stability, performance, and security of client systems while providing high‑quality support and project assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support servers, networks, and related hardware and software
  • Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime
  • Implement and maintain security controls to protect systems and company data
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Oversee system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
  • Deploy and maintain software applications, patches, and updates
  • Assist with IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
  • Provide timely technical support and issue resolution for end users
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and system components
  • Work directly with vendors to troubleshoot issues是正规的吗
  • Adhere to strict information security standards and best practices
  • Occasional travel to client sites as needed (less than 5%)
Our Core Technology Stack

You will work daily with modern, standardized technologies across our managed partner base. While expertise in every platform isn't required, familiarity with MSP‑standard tools is strongly preferred.

  • Cisco Meraki (firewalls, switches, wireless access points)
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Entra  / Azure AD, Intune)
  • Windows Server and Windows desktop environments
  • Synology NAS (backups, replication, disaster recovery)
  • VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization
  • Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services
  • VOIP platforms
What We're Looking For

Required

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
  • Experience using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware and/or Hyper‑V)
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience with VOIP platforms
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki environments
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication boshlain skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. (occasional equipment handling)
  • Experience working in an MSP environment using ticketing, documentation, and RMM tools (e.g., Syncro or similar platforms) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of system administration experience
  • Relevant certifications such as smear/CompTIA Server+, MCSA, CISSP, or similar
