The ideal candidate has deep experience in enterprise content management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements. Communicate effectively and lead project meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Current-State & Target-State Analysis
- Serve as the SME on how business lines use File Net for document storage, retrieval, and workflow automation.
- Analyze document classes, metadata models, workflows, and security structures across both organizations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to determine how document types map into the target File Net environment.
- Identify inefficiencies, manual touchpoints, redundancies, and compliance or risk concerns in current systems.
- Business Alignment & Decision Support
- Work with LOB leaders to gather business requirements, regulatory obligations, and retention policies.
- Facilitate decisions related to document ownership, classification, and access rights.
- Define business rules for document disposition, consolidation, archival, and lifecycle management.
- Recommend appropriate migration strategies (e.g., lift-and-shift, redesign, consolidation, or retirement).
Implementation Support
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for File Net developers and system administrators.
- Ensure workflows accurately reflect business rules, exception handling, approval paths, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with File Net engineers to implement or revise workflows, metadata structures, and security configurations.
- Validate that technical solutions meet business, legal, compliance, and audit expectations.
- Migration & Change Enablement
- Support migration efforts by validating required mappings, testing migrated content, and resolving issues with stakeholders.
- Help determine which workflows should migrate as-is, be consolidated, or be redesigned.
- Document decisions, updated processes, and target-state designs.
- Assist with user training and change management related to new folder structures, workflows, and access models.
- Analyze post-migration usage patterns and business feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Recommend enhancements, automation, or workflow optimization to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience working with ECM platforms such as File Net, CMOD, OnBase, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Experience supporting large-scale migrations, system integrations, or platform consolidations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred
- Experience with File Net P8, workflow automation, metadata models, and document taxonomy.
- Background in banking, financial services, or compliance-driven environments.
- Familiarity with data governance, retention policies, or regulatory document management requirements.
- Experience with M&A-related system integrations or consolidations.
