Our direct client has a long-term contract need for a Sitecore XM Cloud Migration Developer.

This will be mainly remote but possibly going on-site one day a week.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced developer to assist with the migration of our Sitecore 10.3.1 On-Premises instance to Sitecore XM Cloud (XMC).

This role requires strong Sitecore knowledge across both traditional and headless architecture, as well as hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies and backend integration patterns.

You will be instrumental in rearchitecting our platform for cloud scalability and modern development workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and refactor legacy Sitecore components, layouts, and templates for compatibility with headless architecture.
• Rebuild presentation logic using modern frontend technologies (React, Next.js, etc.) to integrate with Sitecore Headless Services.
• Develop and refactor APIs and services to align with XM Cloud architecture, using REST and Graph
  
  QL where applicable.
• Migrate and map content from the legacy system to the cloud environment using Sitecore CLI, Serialization, and Content Hub if used.
• Implement deployment and Dev Ops pipelines (e.g., Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops) for XM Cloud.
• Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity and smooth rollout.

Required Skills:

• Sitecore Development: experience with Sitecore XP/XM 10.x
• Sitecore XM Cloud: Familiarity with XM Cloud structure, serialization, SaaS environment constraints, and front-end separation.
• .NET / C#: Soild Experience developing API in .net
• React: front-end development skills using React or similar JS frameworks, preferably in a headless CMS setup.
• REST APIs: Building and consuming APIs, ideally within Sitecore or headless CMS contexts.
• Git & Dev Ops: Comfortable with Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and environment management.
• Writing unit and integration tests are a required part of this role to ensure application stability and code quality.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Next.js: Familiarity with Sitecore's recommended frontend framework for XM Cloud projects.
• Sitecore CLI / Serialization: Hands-on experience managing content and templates via CLI and YAML.
• Docker / Containers: Understanding of local development using containers, especially with Sitecore Docker images.
• Graph
  
  QL: Working knowledge of Sitecore Graph
  
  QL endpoint usage and querying.
• SEO / Metadata Migration: Experience with migrating SEO fields and other meta content between environments.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in agile, collaborative, and remote teams.
